Iceland

Iceland – Waterfall

Hello world. While researching Icelandic travel I came to the startling realization that there was no real travel guide for Iceland that answered all the questions of 2 DIY travelers taking an Icelandic Excursion! That is why we decided to create a guide in the form of a blog for everyday researchers to reuse all the items we found before our trip and during. We will try to cover a lot  -  but just know that if you cant seem to find something here that we are updating this website daily with new news, tips and tricks for traveling to Iceland! So check back soon!

We are your typical 20-somethings, you know just out of college, wild, crazy, living in our parents basements. We were looking for a trip to somewhere exotic and cheap, somewhere where we could dip our toes in the water and just let loose… I know I wasn’t really thinking about glacial runoff when I wrote “dip our toes in the water“( you will find my humor doesn’t get any better then this) so anyways we chose Iceland. The biggest misconception is that this country is a frozen tundra and how could anyone every possibly vacation there? Well the answer is, your right it is fairly cold there some parts of the year.. but no worse the a your typical Buffalo, NY winters like I grew up with. In fact it averaged about 45 degrees in the middle of February while we were in Reykjavik. Not bad right?

Anyways back to us, we love the outdoors, and we love sightseeing, but while these things are great we want a little adventure like exploring an unknown side street or  trying a new cuisine. The best part about Iceland is that it can provide all the adventure for everybody! We loved Iceland and we are both so happy to be able to share our experience with our friends, family and of course you! enjoy our site and please let us know what you would like to see posted here!
